About ebniecolo

Company background: Created in 2022 in Tunisia, ebniecolo is an expert in eco-design and geo- and bio-sourced materials (NBS).

Our Mission: We provide concrete examples of how to build in a bioclimatic and eco-responsible way for AEC professionals and potential customers.

Certified Training: We obtained the 1st agreement for green building training in Tunisia (ATFP n°11/2006/21).

Practical Learning: We act through our work-schools inside our private projects to show how to adapt content to local geophysical conditions.

Technological Innovation: We developed QAWS (Qartbun Architectural Working System), an innovative carbon-free constructive system based on the mechanical behavior of the arch.

Strategic Partnerships: We are partners with ecological material suppliers such as SOIB, Interchaux, and Knauf, running training courses with them.

Global Impact: Our expertise has reached more than 80 countries worldwide, with our projects published in media like Le Monde

Our Goals

Short terms

Raise public awareness of the importance of taking into account topography, climate, geology, resources (water, energy), and the impacts of climate change in the design and life cycle of Tunisian buildings.

Propose concrete construction and architectural alternatives adapted to the local context (materials, expertise, and techniques).

 

Medium and long term

To become a 100% Tunisian platform for the promotion and financing of industrial and artisanal eco-innovative projects in the eco-construction sector in Tunisia.

Support and guide individuals and professionals in their eco-construction projects through training, hands-on workshops, and various educational resources.

Targeted deliverables

  • By 2027: Offer comprehensive, locally-based eco-friendly solutions for constructing self-sufficient, eco-friendly buildings without heating or air conditioning.
    90% of this goal was achieved with the Oued Saadane project in 2022.100% of this goal was achieved with Fokh’Art12 project in 2023

    By 2028: expand the ebniecolo community worldwide and reach 100,000 subscribers

    By 2030: implement 50 eco-construction training programs mapped by location and climate region. To date, 8 training programs have been completed.
